The U.S. Seafood Policy Council is proud to announce the launch of the SeaFuture jobs program, our Youth Employment and Training Initiative dedicated to cultivating a robust next-generation workforce in the American seafood industry. This initiative aims to inspire and equip young individuals to pursue careers as fishermen and women, aquaculturists, and other vital roles within the sector.
Program Objectives:
Skill Development: Provide comprehensive training programs that cover sustainable fishing practices, aquaculture techniques, and seafood processing, ensuring participants are well-prepared for the industry's demands.
Mentorship Opportunities: Connect youth with experienced industry professionals to foster knowledge transfer, guidance, and real-world insights.
Educational Partnerships: Collaborate with educational institutions to integrate seafood industry-related curricula, promoting awareness and interest from an early age.
Job Placement Support: Assist participants in securing employment within the seafood sector, contributing to economic growth and community development.
